August 22, 2025, Bellingham, WA — Altea Medical has opened its first primary care clinic in Bellingham, Washington. The clinic is located at 303 Telegraph Road, outfitted with four exam rooms and a dedicated care team now welcoming new patients. Altea Medical is the primary care clinics division of Altea Healthcare, a nationally operating healthcare network serving high-performance hospitals and post-acute networks across more than 30 states.
The clinic offers a broad range of primary care services, including preventive care, acute illness visits, chronic disease management, annual wellness visits, adult immunizations, medication management, minor office procedures, and women’s and men’s health. The clinic intends to accept most major insurers, with the goal of making care as accessible as possible to Bellingham residents.
Finding a primary care physician (PCP) who is accepting new patients is a growing challenge, and in smaller communities like Bellingham, that gap is felt most directly.

The Bellingham clinic is the first brick-and-mortar primary care location for Altea Medical and the beginning of a broader expansion into community-based care.
Beyond serving individual patients, the clinic is designed to strengthen care across the broader Bellingham medical community. Altea Healthcare already works with skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and assisted living facilities (ALFs) throughout the region, and the new Bellingham clinic provides a direct outpatient connection for residents transitioning from those settings. Patients leaving an SNF or ALF now have a dedicated primary care home to return to, with the same team managing their care across all settings.
The Bellingham clinic is the first Altea Medical location in the region, with plans to expand as community demand grows. “There may be a second, a third, a fourth,” said Dr. Sarai. “It depends on demand.”
